Samsung’s Blue Earth solar phone April 4, 2009

On February 16th, Samsung has revealed this new phone. It is a solar powered touchscreen phone made of recycled water bottles. So, it is free of harmful substances such as beryllium and phtalates. Energy is provided thanks to the solar panel on the phone but it is still possible to charge it like another phone ( the phone has also a normal plug).  It has also a pedometer which will tell you about the number of trees you have saved while walking rather than driving.

In addition to this, the applications of this phone are the same that usual phones :  connects to EDGE and 3G networks, takes photos (5 millions pixels), reads MP3 files , it is possible to listen to the  FM radios,…

Two days ago, I have found a very interesting website. People can download 3DFlash image viewing with TiltViewer, a free web application to create  picture galleries thanks to Flash format. In spite the fact that it is said to be easy to use, the realization of the galleries remain a little bit difficult. However, the result worth it. The most impressive for me, was TiltViewer but some of the other applications have important advantages : they are easier to use than TiltViewer, some supports Flickr photostream :Flash Gallery, dfGallery,…

Last day, I discovered Daytum when I was surfing on the web. It is a kind of web application closer to Twitter rather than Netvibes. In fact, Daytum is designed to communicate facts and events of your everyday life. It collects personnal informations and turn them into the form of widgets. You can also import data from other websites. One of the things you can do is to edit and display a chart showing the number of mails you received for the past seven days.

Last but not least, the design is really well done, minimalistic and attractive.

You  just have to suscribe your mail on Daytum waiting for an invitation. I think I will apply for it these days and keep you posted.
